Sizing and measurements

6
How do I find my shapewear size?

Measure your waist and hips, plus your bust, torso, or thigh if the style requires it. Compare those measurements with the brand- and product-specific size chart; do not rely on your usual clothing size or size down for more compression.

What should I do if I am between sizes?

Do not automatically choose the smaller size. Check which measurement falls outside the range, the garment's coverage and construction, and ask for help with the product link if your waist and hips fall into different sizes.

How do I know if my shapewear fits correctly?

It should feel firm without restricting normal breathing, sitting, or movement. It should not cause pain, numbness, tingling, deep edge marks, or distorted closures; if it does, remove it and reassess the size and style.

How do I take measurements for shapewear?

Use a flexible measuring tape over lightweight clothing. Measure your waist at its narrowest point and your hips at their fullest point, keeping the tape level and snug but not tight; take any additional measurements requested on the product page.

How do I use my measurements to choose a size?

Find each measurement on the product's size chart and choose the range that contains them. Sizing varies by brand and style, so a general S, M, or L conversion does not replace the product-specific chart.

How do I choose the right size?

Start with current measurements and the product-specific size chart. Then confirm the coverage, length, closures, and stated compression level; adjustable hooks can fine-tune the fit, but they cannot correct the wrong size.

Shapewear types

9
What is a faja?

Faja is a broad term for shapewear or supportive garments with different coverage and compression levels. It may refer to a bodysuit, shorts, a waist trainer, or another design; the garment's actual function depends on its construction and product details.

What is everyday shapewear?

Everyday shapewear is designed for routine activities. When choosing a style, prioritize fit, movement, comfort while sitting, compatibility with your clothing, and practical details such as straps, length, bust coverage, and openings.

What are post-surgical compression garments?

These garments are marketed to provide compression and support after certain procedures. A post-surgical label does not confirm that a garment is appropriate for your situation; your surgeon or healthcare professional should specify the coverage, compression, closure, size, and wear schedule.

What is postpartum shapewear?

Postpartum shapewear includes supportive or shaping garments marketed for use after childbirth. It is not automatically appropriate for everyone; after a C-section, or if you have pain, bleeding, or a medical condition, ask your healthcare professional when to wear it, what area to avoid, and how it should fit.

What is workout shapewear?

Workout shapewear is specifically designed to move with you during certain physical activities. It should allow normal breathing and movement; increased sweating does not equal fat loss, and workout shapewear does not guarantee injury prevention or improved results.

What is hourglass shapewear?

Hourglass shapewear is designed to accommodate a more pronounced difference between the waist and hips. The label describes the garment's shape or pattern; it does not guarantee permanent changes or replace choosing a size from actual measurements.

What is seamless shapewear?

Seamless shapewear is made to reduce visible seams or lines under clothing. The result also depends on size, edges, color, closures, and the outer fabric, so try it with the outfit you plan to wear.

What accessories are available for shapewear?

Depending on the intended use, accessories may include abdominal and back boards, foams, extenders, and BBL pillows. Confirm compatibility with the garment; after surgery, use accessories only when your surgeon or healthcare professional approves them and explains their placement.

What do compression levels mean?

Light, medium, and firm describe the level stated by a brand, but they are not a universal scale across manufacturers and do not automatically equal medical compression. Compare each product's specifications and follow your healthcare professional's instructions for post-surgical use.

Body and shape

7
What does an hourglass body shape mean?

It is a general description for proportions with a pronounced difference between the waist and hips and relatively similar shoulder and hip widths. It is only a visual reference; it does not determine your size or the shapewear you should buy.

What does a rectangular or H-shaped body mean?

It is a general description for proportions with less pronounced differences among the shoulders, waist, and hips. It is an optional reference, not a sizing system or a rule for which garment you need.

What does a triangle or pear body shape mean?

It is a general description for proportions where the hips are wider than the shoulders. The label does not determine your size; use your measurements and the product-specific size chart.

What does an inverted triangle body shape mean?

It is a general description for proportions where the shoulders are wider than the hips. Use it only as a visual reference; fit depends on your measurements, the garment's coverage, and its construction.

What does an apple or round body shape mean?

It is a general description for proportions with more fullness around the midsection. It is not a size category; compare your waist, hips, and any additional measurements with each product's size chart.

Which shapewear style is best for my body shape?

There is no single best style for everyone with the same body shape. Choose based on your measurements, desired coverage, clothing, activity, garment length, bust design, and the level of support you want.

How do I identify my body shape when comparing shapewear?

If the reference is useful to you, compare your shoulder, waist, and hip widths without judgment. When choosing shapewear, base the decision primarily on current measurements, coverage, and the product's size chart, not on a body-shape label.

Use and safety

11
How long should I wear shapewear to see results?

Shapewear can temporarily change your appearance while you wear it, but it does not guarantee weight loss or permanent body changes. Wear time should be based on comfort, the manufacturer's instructions, and professional guidance for post-surgical or postpartum use.

Can I exercise while wearing shapewear?

Wear only a garment specifically designed for the activity and make sure you can breathe and move normally. Do not exercise in a post-surgical compression garment unless your healthcare professional instructs you to do so.

Does shapewear help with weight loss?

No. Shapewear can create a temporary visual effect while you wear it, but it does not burn fat or cause weight loss. Increased sweating primarily reflects fluid loss, not fat loss.

When should I avoid or stop wearing shapewear?

Remove it if it causes pain, trouble breathing, numbness, tingling, dizziness, significant irritation, or concerning skin changes. If you are pregnant, postpartum, recovering from surgery, or have a medical condition, ask your healthcare professional before wearing it.

Is it normal for shapewear to leave marks on my skin?

Light, temporary impressions may appear at the edges, but they should not be deep, painful, or accompanied by numbness, tingling, or irritation. If the marks are severe or persist, remove the garment and reassess the size and design.

How many hours should I wear my shapewear?

There is no universal number of hours. Follow the care label and manufacturer's instructions, maintain normal breathing and movement, and stop if you feel pain or numbness; for post-surgical or postpartum use, follow only the schedule provided by your healthcare professional.

Can I wear shapewear during a workout?

Yes, but only if the style is designed for exercise and allows the movement your activity requires. Everyday or post-surgical shapewear is not interchangeable with workout shapewear, and more sweat does not mean more fat loss.

Is shapewear with hooks, a zipper, or a pull-on design better?

It depends on the fit and how you prefer to put it on. Hooks offer adjustable positions, a zipper provides a quick closure, and pull-on shapewear has no front hardware; also compare visibility under clothing, movement, and ease of use.

Can I use the same shapewear for workouts and everyday wear?

Only if the product information states that it is designed for both uses and the fit supports the activity. Do not assume that everyday or post-surgical shapewear functions as workout apparel; follow the style's documented purpose.

What should I do if I gain or lose weight?

Measure your waist and hips again and check the product's size chart before continuing to wear it or buying another size. Hooks may accommodate small changes, but do not force a garment that causes pain, rolls, or no longer fits securely.

What is the correct way to put on shapewear?

Open all closures, gather the garment into a manageable band, and pull it up gradually from your feet. Distribute the fabric over your legs, hips, and abdomen before placing the straps; fasten the hooks in sections, smooth the edges, and make sure you can breathe and move normally.

Care

10
How should I wash my shapewear?

Follow the care label first. In general, hand-wash it in cold or lukewarm water with a mild detergent, without wringing; fasten hooks and zippers to protect the fabric and rinse thoroughly.

Can I wash my shapewear in a washing machine?

Only if the care label allows it. If machine washing is permitted, use a delicate cycle, cold water, and a mesh laundry bag; otherwise, hand-wash it to protect the elastic, closures, and seams.

Can I use fabric softener or bleach?

Avoid them unless the care label specifically allows them. Fabric softener and bleach can affect elastic fibers, color, and finishes; use a mild detergent in the recommended amount.

How should I dry my shapewear after washing?

Air-dry it flat or on a drying rack, away from high heat and direct sunlight. Do not wring it or use a dryer unless the care label specifically says it is safe.

How often should I wash my shapewear?

Wash it based on wear frequency, perspiration, and the care label. If you wear shapewear often, rotating between two garments allows each one to be fully washed and dried instead of being worn while damp.

How can I keep my shapewear from losing its shape?

Wear the correct size, fully open the closures before putting it on, and avoid pulling on lace, straps, or seams. Wash and dry it according to the care label, and store it clean, dry, and without sharp folds.

What should I do if my shapewear loses elasticity?

Check whether the fabric no longer returns to shape, the fit has become uneven, or the closures and seams are damaged. Replace the garment if it no longer provides a stable fit; do not compensate by sizing down.

Can I iron my shapewear?

Do not iron it unless the care label specifically allows it. Heat can damage elastic fibers, lace, and other finishes; let the garment air-dry and return to its shape naturally.

Can I wash my shapewear in hot water?

Avoid hot water unless the care label says otherwise. Cold or lukewarm water generally helps protect the garment's elastic, color, and finishes.

How do I remove odors from shapewear?

Wash it with a mild detergent according to the care label, rinse thoroughly, and let it dry completely before storing or wearing it. Do not apply perfume, bleach, or home remedies that are not allowed by the care instructions.

Returns and exchanges

11
Can I exchange shapewear if it does not fit?

You may request an exchange if you meet the current conditions and submit the request within 30 calendar days of purchase. The garment must be unworn, with its original tags and packaging, and free of stains, odors, cuts, loose threads, or marks; sale items may only be exchanged for a different size or color and are not eligible for returns or refunds.

What should I do if I received the wrong size or item?

Contact Linda CURVES immediately by email or WhatsApp and send photos of the item you received. If the shipped order was incorrect, the team will provide a prepaid return label and arrange an exchange or refund under the current policy.

Can worn shapewear be returned?

No. For hygiene reasons, worn garments and items with makeup, deodorant, perfume, pet hair, stains, odors, or visible marks are not accepted. Wear underwear when trying on the garment and keep its original tags and packaging.

What is the deadline to request an exchange?

The current policy allows exchange requests within 30 calendar days of purchase. The request and garment must meet all eligibility conditions before approval.

What condition must shapewear be in for an exchange or return?

It must be unworn and in perfect condition, without cuts, loose threads, stains, odors, or visible marks, and it must include the original tags and packaging. Only items purchased from lindacurves.com or authorized U.S. distributors are accepted, subject to the policy's other restrictions.

Can custom-fitted or personalized garments be exchanged or returned?

No. Under the current policy, custom-fitted or personalized garments are not eligible for exchanges or returns.

How do I request an exchange or return?

Email info@lindacurves.com with your full name, phone number, address, reason for the request, and the new size or style you want. First confirm that the garment meets the eligibility conditions, then follow the packing and shipping instructions in the current policy.

Who pays shipping costs for an exchange or return?

For standard exchanges, the customer pays both the return shipping and the new shipment; the stated standard rate is $13 USD per shipment within the United States. International shipping costs are the customer's responsibility and are nonrefundable; if the item arrived defective, damaged, or incorrect, Linda CURVES provides a prepaid label.

How long does an exchange or return take to process?

Exchanges and returns are processed within 7 to 14 business days after the product arrives at the warehouse. You will receive a confirmation email after the item is inspected and the request is approved.

How can I avoid problems with an exchange or return?

Take your measurements and check the size guide before ordering, read the current policy, and inspect the size, style, and condition when your order arrives. Try the garment on over underwear, keep the tags and packaging, and contact the team immediately if you notice an error or defect.
